Privacy Policy

This policy explains, in plain and general terms, how information may be handled when you visit the Cametas website, contact the project, or use a Cametas application. It should be read together with the Terms of Service and the GDPR Compliance Notice.

Effective and last updated: August 2, 2026 · Version 2.0

Privacy in practical terms

Cametas is designed around data minimisation and local processing. Camera, microphone, teleprompter, screen, file, and location functions are intended to operate on the user’s device where the relevant platform permits. Limited website, store, diagnostic, support, or transaction data may still be processed by Cametas or by the service providers needed to deliver those functions.

1. Who is responsible

EuroSMM, operated by E. Shaman, acts as the project operator and determines the general purposes for which personal data relating to the Cametas service is used. Codepolder / Reprevi provides technical development services and may handle limited information when this is necessary for maintenance, troubleshooting, or another documented technical task. Each party remains responsible for the processing it independently controls.

Questions about this policy or any Cametas-related processing can be sent to [email protected]. We may ask for reasonable information to identify the relevant service, device, purchase, or request, but please do not send recordings, identity documents, passwords, or other sensitive material unless specifically requested through a suitable channel.

2. Scope of this policy

This policy applies to the Cametas website, mobile and desktop applications, support correspondence, and related project communications. A third-party store, operating system, map provider, payment provider, hosting service, analytics service, or external link may process information under its own terms. Cametas does not control those independent services, and users should consult the notices presented by them.

3. Information that may be processed

  • Device content and permissions. Camera images, microphone audio, screen content, imported files, scripts, and optional location input may be accessed by the app to perform a feature requested by the user. The intended default is local processing and storage.
  • Technical information. App version, operating system, device class, language, general performance information, error logs, IP address, and similar security or diagnostic data may be generated when a website or connected service is used.
  • Support information. An email address, name, message, attachments, and the history of a support conversation may be processed when a user contacts Cametas.
  • Purchase information. App stores or payment providers may send a transaction identifier, subscription status, product, country or region, and validation result. Cametas does not normally receive full payment-card details from an app-store purchase.
  • Website and preference information. Essential storage remembers security and cookie choices. Optional analytics is used only where available and permitted by the user’s selection and applicable law.

4. Purposes and legal bases

Information is used only where there is a reasonable and defined purpose: to provide a requested feature; maintain security and reliability; validate entitlements; answer a message; comply with law; establish or defend legal claims; improve the service using appropriately limited information; or send optional communications where consent has been given. Depending on the context, the legal basis may be performance of a contract, consent, compliance with a legal obligation, or a legitimate interest that is not overridden by the user’s rights. Consent can be withdrawn for future processing at any time.

5. On-device media, scripts, and location

Recordings and project material are intended to remain under the user’s control and are not routinely uploaded to a Cametas-operated storage service. They may nevertheless leave the device when the user exports, shares, backs up, synchronises, or opens them with another provider. Location permission is optional and should be requested only for a feature that needs it, such as presenting a location or map overlay. Disabling a permission may limit the related feature without preventing unrelated functions.

6. Recipients and international transfers

Limited information may be disclosed to contracted hosting, email, diagnostics, security, professional-advice, or development providers; to app stores and payment platforms; to a competent authority where legally required; or to a successor involved in a legitimate reorganisation. Providers should receive only what is reasonably necessary for their task. Where information is transferred outside the European Economic Area, an applicable adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses, or another lawful safeguard may be used.

7. Retention and deletion

Information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed for the relevant purpose, legal obligation, security need, dispute, or accounting requirement. Support correspondence may be retained while a request is active and for a reasonable follow-up period. Transaction and tax records may be retained for statutory periods. Local recordings and scripts remain subject to the device, backup, and deletion choices made by the user. Backup copies and security logs may expire on a delayed cycle rather than immediately.

8. Cookies and local storage

The website may use strictly necessary browser storage to remember a privacy selection and support core operation. Optional analytics, if enabled, helps understand general use and reliability. A user may accept optional use or keep essential storage only. Browser controls can also remove stored information, although doing so may cause the preference prompt to appear again.

9. Security, children, and automated decisions

Reasonable organisational and technical safeguards are used in proportion to the nature of the service, but no device, transmission, or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Cametas is not directed to children below the minimum age required to consent to an online service in their jurisdiction. The project does not intend to make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects solely through automated processing.

10. Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, a person may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection; withdraw consent; and complain to a competent supervisory authority. A request should describe the relevant interaction and be sent to [email protected]. Identity may be verified in a proportionate way. Some requests can be limited where information cannot reasonably be linked to the requester or where retention is required by law.

11. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the applications, providers, or legal requirements evolve. The date and version above identify the current publication. Material changes may also be announced in the app, on the website, or through another reasonable channel. Continued use after an update does not replace any consent that the law requires us to obtain separately.
